High Collar Jacket

Cut from handwoven kutnu stripe, this one-size top is built with the precision of a tailored piece. Contrast bias tape at every seam, a snap-over zip placket, self-standing high collar, and a smocked hem that gives without losing shape. 

Kutnu is woven on narrow looms, each top requires 6 to 7 meters of fabric, carefully seamed. A construction detail more common to couture than to ready-to-wear. It is slow work, done by hand, by weavers who have spent lifetimes on this textile. 

Woven in limited thread lots, no two pieces are exactly alike. Slight variations in weave, texture, color, and finishing are a natural part of the artisanal process and contribute to the individuality and character of each piece.
