Lesley is a British-born artist based in Southern California, known for her expressive abstract paintings and bold, intuitive use of color. Trained in illustration with a First Class Honors degree from the University of Lincoln, England, Lesley began her career in graphic design and children’s book illustration before fully embracing her passion for abstract art. Her work—ranging from richly layered abstracts to emotive faces—is collected worldwide and celebrated for its energy, texture, and spontaneity. Guided by instinct and a deep love for color, Lesley creates in her San Juan Capistrano studio, where she also welcomes visitors and teaches online art classes to inspire fellow creatives. Through a process of layering, mark-making, and removal, her work unfolds organically—each piece telling part of a continuous visual story. Lesley believes that art has the power to transform the way we see, feel, and connect with the world around us.
